Policies promoting menstrual equity, funding for menstrual health initiatives, and support for sustainable menstrual products are crucial steps towards a period-friendly world. We must also promote reusable products and eco-friendly disposal methods to protect our planet.

Amidst the current situation, this meeting was also borne out of the need for us to begin to leverage our greatest strength which is our unity, our collective ideas, skills and experience. As stakeholders, our people continuously look up to us for directions and solutions because we are meant to be the pathfinders.

As we mark this year’s armed forces remembrance day, it is my prayer that we will cease from fanning the embers of war but rather join hands to build a nation of equal opportunities, where peace and justice will truly rain. After all, this is the only dream that is keeping our soldiers away from their families.
