On Thursday, April 11, 2024, the Transition Committee Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon. Mercy Bassey hosted Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) where several items like mobility aids, cash gifts and many others were presented to them.

The event themed “Enabling the Disabled”, which was in collaboration with Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), the pet project of Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno, was held at the Local Government Council Secretariat.

Some of the dignitaries at the event include; vice chairman, Prince Hillary Oton and other members of the Transition Committee; SA to the Governor for PWDs, Mrs Nnenne Bassey; former Transition Committee Chairman, Lady Ekaette Usip; Chairman, PWDs Mkpat Enin Chapter, Comrade Edet Benson, among others.
