GIFA LEGACY LIVES ON AS MKPAT ENIN FIRST LADY DISTRIBUTES EXERCISE BOOKS TO SCHOOLS

In continuation of the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno’s initiative, the “Golden Initiative For All” (GIFA), Mrs. Edidiong Emmanuel, wife of the Chairman of Mkpat Enin, has extended the legacy by donating educational materials to schools in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.

This initiative, originally launched by the late Mrs. Eno before her passing, aligns with the ARISE AGENDA’s vision and the “Emmancipation” blueprint, which prioritizes educational advancement for Mkpat Enin communities.

Schools that benefited from the donation include: Community Secondary School, Esa Ekpo, Q.I.C. Primary School, Mkpat Enin Urban, and Government Primary School, Ikot Akpa Ekop.

During the event, Mrs. Edidiong Emmanuel emphasized the importance of education, encouraging students to use the resources provided and strive for academic excellence. She reiterated the late First Lady’s vision for uplifting education through GIFA.

Mkpat Enin First Lady also reiterated her commitment to sponsoring the student with the best result in the Common Entrance Examination, covering all expenses throughout their secondary education.

In her remarks, the GIFA Coordinator for Mkpat Enin, Mrs. Enobong Afia, expressed profound gratitude to the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pst. Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the visionary founder of the “Golden Initiative for All” (GIFA), for her unwavering dedication to the welfare of children and the promotion of education in Mkpat Enin and across the state.

She urged the pupils to seize this invaluable opportunity to excel academically, emphasizing that such efforts are pivotal in securing a brighter and more prosperous future.

At Government Primary School, Ikot Akpa Ekop, Head Teacher Mrs. Glory I. Udoh expressed deep appreciation for the continued support of the GIFA initiative, while the Principal of Community Secondary School, Esa Ekpo, praised Hon. Engr. Emmanuel Inyang for ensuring the continuation of his late sister’s impactful program.

The event was attended by notable figures, including Vice Chairman, Mrs. Owoidoho Inyangetuk, GIFA Coordinator for Mkpat Enin, Mrs. Enobong Afia, and Women Development Officer Mrs. Nana. This continuation of GIFA reflects the commitment to prioritizing education in Mkpat Enin and fulfilling the legacy of the late First Lady’s vision for the future of Akwa Ibom’s youth.
