In commemoration of his one year in office, the Executive Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Hon. (Engr.) The Council Boss also commended the Divisional Police Officer of Mkpat Enin, CSP Bassey Igiri, for his selfless service to humanity and prayed for continued collaboration between the Police and the Council to ensure lasting peace and security in the area.
Hon. Inyang explained that the decision to rehabilitate the Police Headquarters was conceived even before he assumed office, after observing the deplorable condition of the facility.
He reiterated his resolve to enhance the structure further by constructing a perimeter fence to strengthen its security.
In his remarks, CP Baba Mohammed Azare lauded the Chairman for his uncommon support to the Nigeria Police Force, describing the gesture as rare and exemplary.
He noted that since assuming office as Commissioner, he had not seen any Local Government Chairman personally undertake the rehabilitation of a Divisional Police Headquarters, adding that Mkpat Enin has set a new standard of leadership.
The Police Commissioner pledged to deploy additional manpower to the area to complement the efforts of the local authorities and commended Hon. Inyang for his visionary leadership, praying for God’s continued protection and wisdom upon him.
In their goodwill messages, the Paramount Ruler of Mkpat Enin, Edidem Akpan Akpan Ekpene, and a community leader, John Okoriko, applauded Hon. Inyang for his outstanding gesture, describing it as a mark of responsible and people-centered leadership.
They also appreciated the Nigeria Police Force for its relentless efforts in curbing crime and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the area.
