MKPAT ENIN TRC COMPLEX INAUGURATED AS STAKEHOLDERS APPLAUD ENGR. EMMANUEL INYANG’S DEVELOPMENT STRIDES

The people of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have been applauding the development strides of the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Emmanuel Inyang in his first 100 days in office describing it as a golden beginning.

The stakeholders made the commendation at the commissioning of the Traditional Rulers Council, TRC Complex located at the Local Government Headquarters, Mkpat Enin, a project initiated by the immediate past Transition Committee and completed by the Emmanuel Inyang administration to mark its 100 days in office.

Coordinator, Office of the State First Lady, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki described Engr. Inyang as a pragmatic leader and urged him to maintain the momentum for more positive impacts.

“I congratulate and commend you for ensuring rural development centered governance and for your many achievements. Continue and do more. There are many more to do. I do not want the momentum to diminish.” Lady Obareki said.

On his part, the member representing Mkpat Enin in the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uwem Imoh-ita commended the Council Chairman for completing the Traditional Rulers Council Complex in addition to grading of internal roads and appointment of over more than 50 indigenes to serve in his administration.

Also speaking, the Paramount Ruler of Mkpat Enin Local Government, Edidem Akpan Akpan Ekpene; Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Infrastructure and Assets Management and Maintenance Agency, Elder Udo Sam Umoatan, State PDP Assistant Secretary, Hon. Anietie Sunday, Chapter Chairman of the party, Hon. Isaiah Lawrence and former Chairman of the Local Government, Lady Ekaette Usip among other prominent indigenes described Engr. Inyang as the pride of Mkpat Enin, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver more projects in the days to come.

Addressing the people, the Council Boss, Engr. Emmanuel Inyang, described his first 100 days in office as an era of unhindered stewardship, building peace and charting of a new course for his people expressing gratitude to the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for the opportunity replicate his ARISE agenda in Mkpat Enin.

He listed the milestones recorded under his “EMMANCIPATION Blueprint” to include distribution of educational materials to schools; purchase of JAMB forms for 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME for 100 indigenes, grading of roads; provision of grants for 11 Mkpat Enin students in tertiary institutions, restoration of public power supply to Ikot Oyoro community after many years of blackout due to transformer vandalism as well as sponsorship of free medical services, hosting of the first-ever Mkpat Enin Christmas Carols, 2024 International Girls’ Child Day and stakeholders and community meetings.
