PALLIATIVE: MKPAT ENIN RECEIVES 1,740 BAGS OF RICE, 174 BAGS OF GARRI FROM FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT.

Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, on Wednesday, July 31, received 1,740 bags of rice and 174 bags of garri from the federal and state government palliative.

Distributing the items to the 87 gazetted villages in the area, the Transition Committee Chairman of Mkpat Enin, Lady Mercy Bassey thanked the federal and state governments for the timely intervention.

Lady Bassey particularly launded Governor Umo Eno for increasing the items donated by the federal government, adding that the people of the area are appreciative of the governor’s gesture.

While urging the community leaders who received the items on behalf of their communities to ensure fair sharing among their people, the Transition Committee Chairman also supported the 87 villages with cash to support transportation.
