They highlighted Lady Bassey’s performance, noting her previous achievements during her tenure as Acting Chairman for 8 months.
“We can see how she has improved the Ibekwe Akpanya – Ikot Akpaden road within barely a month in office,” they commented. “We believe she can accomplish even more if given the opportunity to serve as the elected chairman of the Council.”
They also mentioned her positive impact on security, citing commendation from the Divisional Police Officer for her efforts in subduing criminal activities in Ibiaku and Ikpa-Ikono Clans, areas where kidnappers had previously been active.

“Our Chairman has already begun grading roads from Ibekwe Akpanya to Ikpa-Ikono Clan. She is also overseeing the drilling of a borehole at Ibianga Village in Ikpa-Ikono Ward 1, as well as the renovation of the Primary Health Center at Ibioete.
