.In our pursuit of efficiency and effectiveness within the Local Government Council, we have prioritised the provision of essential infrastructure to create a smart working environment. From equipping offices with computer sets, printers, and furniture to implementing technological solutions, such as the development of a reliable website, (www.mkpatenin.ak.gov.ng) amongst other purposes, will enable indigenes conveniently obtain their certificates of origin from anywhere in the world, while ensuring authenticity through online verification by this making Mkpat Enin Local Government Area currently the only LGA to issue and verify Certificate of Origin online in Nigeria. By these initiatives we are empowering our staff to embrace innovation and streamline administrative processes. By harnessing the power of technology, we are enhancing service delivery and optimizing resource utilization for the benefit of our community.
.Education remains a cornerstone of our agenda, this administration has taken proactive steps to support the academic aspirations of our youth. In commemoration of the 2024 International Day of Education, we embarked on a campaign to donate over 3000 educational materials to select public schools in Mkpat Enin. Additionally, we have facilitated free Jamb registration for students, easing the financial burden on families and opening doors to higher education and career opportunities. We are committed to investing in the future of our youth and laying the groundwork for a knowledgeable and empowered society.
We have relocated a high tension pole that was previously mounted inside the premise of QIC Primary School Ikot Obio Ndoho.
.As part of our commitment to Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda on Agriculture, we have undertaken strategic interventions to revitalize the agricultural sector and promote food security. Our Back-To-Farm Initiative, witnessed the distribution of high-quality agriculture seedlings and materials to local farmers, aimed at increasing productivity and enhance the livelihoods of rural communities. Furthermore, our support for women-led farmers’ cooperatives through its registration not only empowers individual farmers but also strengthens their collective bargaining power and access to support systems at the national and state levels of governance. Through these efforts, we are fostering sustainable growth and prosperity within the agricultural sector, which serves as the backbone of our economy.
.Revitalizing our local economy and creating job opportunities are central tenets of our agenda for transformation. One of our proudest accomplishments has been the commencement of the revamping of the moribund shoe factory in Mkpat Enin. Once a symbol of neglect, this facility is now being brought back to life, offering employment opportunities and contributing to economic revitalization. We recognize the importance of entrepreneurship and local industry in driving economic growth, and we remain committed to supporting initiatives that harness our local resources and talents for the benefit of all.
.In the health sector, we are committed to ensuring access to quality healthcare services for all residents of Mkpat Enin. To this end, we have undertaken a comprehensive renovation and provision of facilities at the Health Center in Odorikot Community. By upgrading infrastructure and expanding access to essential services, we are improving health outcomes and enhancing the well-being of our community members, particularly those who have historically lacked access to adequate healthcare services.
.Other notable interventions by this administration so far include implementation of a water project in Ibianga, Ikot Oyoro and Ikot Inyang Okop Communities; installation of solar power in Ikot Inyang Okop
.These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication, hard work, and collaboration of all stakeholders involved in our journey of transformation. As we reflect on the progress made over the past 100 days, as a committee, we rededicate ourselves to the principles of the ARISE Agenda and the vision of a prosperous and inclusive Mkpat Enin for all.
.Looking ahead, our administration remains steadfast in its commitment to serving the needs of every resident, ensuring that no one is left behind in our quest for progress. We recognize that there is still much work to be done, but we approach the challenges ahead with optimism and determination. Together, we will continue to build a future where opportunities abound, where prosperity is shared by all, and where every voice is heard and valued.
.As we celebrate this milestone, let us renew our resolve to work hand in hand, united in purpose and vision, towards Mkpat Enin that truly reflects the aspirations and dreams of its people. With faith, perseverance, and a spirit of inclusivity, we will overcome obstacles and realize the full potential of our beloved community.
