MKPAT ENIN CHAIRMAN DEDICATES NEW YEAR TO GOD, PROMISES ROADS, YOUTH PROGRAMMES

The Chairman of Mkpat Enin Local Government of Akwa Ibom State, Engr. Emmanuel Inyang, on Monday reaffirmed his commitment to economic growth and sustainable development of the Local Government.

Engr. Inyang was speaking at the January 2026 Solemn Assembly, a monthly interdenominational prayer session organized to dedicate the new year to God.

He announced that additional access roads would soon be graded to ease transportation for market women and traders across the area.

The Chairman further disclosed that rehabilitation works on Ikot Inyang Okop–Ibioete–Ikot Ekpang Road and Ikot Akpaden Motor Park, which were suspended due to the rainy season, would resume.

Engr. Inyang also announced plans to expand youth empowerment programmes under his EMMANCIPATION Blueprint, noting that youth empowerment remains critical to the economic advancement of Mkpat Enin.

He expressed gratitude to God for His grace and commended the organizers of the Solemn Assembly for sustaining the tradition of committing the affairs of the local government into God’s hands.

The sermon was delivered by Pastor Ndaeyo Udomfuk of All Nations Christian Ministry International, Eket, with the theme “The God of All Possibilities” followed by prayers for peace, unity and progress in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.
