Hon. Aniedi A. B. Ekanem is a native of mkpat Enin town, a very devoted Christian and a diligent public servant with vast experience and strides. He is a transformational leader who is always on point to transform any sector that he is engaged with. until now he has held various portfolio dating back varsity days, whenever he was a very active and Aluta comrade.

Albeit, he was the first democratic elected Councillor of the then Ukpum Minya ward 4, in 1999. In 2012 to 2015, He later served as the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Ekanem served as an Executive Member of People Democratic Party (PDP). Himself a Grassroots mobilizer and present Political ward Leader of Ukpum Minya ward 5. Hon. Aniedi currently is the Secretary of Mkpat Enin Local Government Council.

Hon. Aniedi Ekanem is a true definition of the Eagle’s breed. He is a Leader embodying great exquisite of character and genuineness, skillful with words, very dogged, articulate and fluent in speech.

Hon. Ekanem is happily married and blessed without lovely Children. He holds a Chieftaincy title which was confered on him by the then, Paramount Ruler of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, Edidem Justus Akpan Amankop as the Obong Ifiok of Ibiaku.
