Tonight, we celebrate the most wonderful time of the year, a season of hope, love and peace, as we commemorate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Our efforts must extend to the policy level, recognizing menstrual health as a fundamental human right. Policies promoting menstrual equity, funding for menstrual health initiatives, and support for sustainable menstrual products are crucial steps towards a period-friendly world. We must also promote reusable products and eco-friendly disposal methods to protect our planet.

the Chairman and Chief host of the Anniversary Celebration, Lady Mercy Bassey said the 35th anniversary celebration was inspired by the need to bridge existing interest and political barriers and bring the people together to chart a common course for the development of the area.

This stakeholders' meeting is, first of all, to re-awaken the spirit of patriotism among us. It is a meeting that is meant to reignite our love for Mkpat Enin and earnest desire to see our people overcome the present challenges. Amidst the current situation, this meeting was also borne out of the need for us to begin to leverage our greatest strength which is our unity, our collective ideas, skills and experience. As stakeholders, our people continuously look up to us for directions and solutions because we are meant to be the pathfinders.
